You will find EVERYTHING you need close by!...
Several restaurants - locally-owned Darfons and Ellendale's, Panera Bread, Ruby Tuesday, Shoney's and many fast food places - are within walking distance. Kmart and Walgreens are also within walking distance in case you forgot something! Other locally-owned restaurants include McNamara's and Phat Bites plus the new Homegrown Taproom, which has been a big hit with locals. If you're in town over the weekend during May-October, you will want to check out the Hip Donelson Farmers Market (on Fridays from 4-7pm) for food, shopping, music and fun!
If you'd like to take a nature stroll or go for a run, you'll want to check out Stones River Greenway, where you can walk along the river and enjoy a peaceful sunrise or sunset. There's a trailhead at Kohls, which is 4 miles away.
Nashville is home to many unique neighborhoods and areas, and within them are activities and restaurants for a variety of tastes! Just a few of them include Downtown, East Nashville, The Gulch and Midtown. Germantown and 12th South boast some great restaurants as well. And if you're a history buff or a wine lover, you should definitely take the 30-minute drive south to historic downtown Franklin and then head to Arrington Vineyards.
In downtown Nashville, you'll find plenty to do! From taking in all things country music at the Country Music Hall of Fame to catching a broadway show at Tennessee Performing Arts Center to seeing a concert at the Ryman Auditorium (the BEST music venue ever!), you will not be disappointed with entertainment options in downtown. You'll find plenty of restaurants ranging from casual Jack's Bar-B-Que to upscale Merchants and anything in-between. Must-visit honky tonks include Tootsie's and The Stage, where you will enjoy live music and good-time, fun-loving crowds. Want to pick a one-stop-shop for the night? Head to Acme Feed & Seed, The Big Bang Bar: Dueling Pianos or Bourbon Street Blues & Boogie Bar for good food, cold drinks and fantastic live entertainment.
East Nashville is a hub for eclectic restaurants and bars! Head to Holland House or Eastland Cafe for happy hour to get your evening started. Stop by one of our favorite restaurants - Rosepepper Cafe, Mas Tacos or The Pharmacy - for dinner (don't forget a dessert stop at Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams for the best ice cream ever!). Enjoy a few drinks and live music at The Family Wash or The Crying Wolf. You'll also be happy to find that the Five Points area in East Nashville is extremely walkable in the event you'd like to just take an Uber to the area for the night - bars include 3 Crow, The Red Door Saloon, Drifters, Beyond The Edge and Lipstick Lounge (a favorite of karaoke-lovers!). Don't forget to grab a slice of cheesy goodness from Five Points Pizza's late night slice window before you end your night!
Enjoy beer, burgers and bluegrass in the Gulch! Start the afternoon off with tours (including samples!) of Yazoo and Jackalope breweries, swing by Hops & Crafts for "hoppy hour", enjoy dinner at Burger Republic, then cap the night off with bluegrass music at Station Inn.
If you want to check out Midtown, you'll find a fun mix of food and entertainment. Enjoy Nashville's famous Hot Chicken at Hattie B's, grab a fancy craft cocktail in our own speakeasy known as Patterson House, rub elbows with songwriters at Losers or sing karaoke at Winners!
If you are a self proclaimed "Foodie" you are going to love the culinary opportunities that the city offers.

You will need a car to get around town and for day trips (rental cars are easily acquired at the airport nearby), but we also have Lyft and Uber, which run 24/7 and are a great alternative to driving downtown for a night of honky-tonkin'. (Fare runs about $10-15 one-way to Lower Broadway, which is usually the same price for parking downtown.)
Public transportation is a 5 min walk to Donelson Pike which will take you to the airport or the city in the day time and less than a 1 mile walk to all the food spots, necessities and business needs you have.
