Drowning Victim From Percy Priest Lake Identified As Florida Man

An Office of Emergency Management team recovered Centeno's body at 7:35 p.m. in about 15 feet of water.

The man who drowned in Percy Priest Lake Friday afternoon after jumping into the water from the bluffs near Oak Branch Trail is identified as Carlo Centeno, 26, who was visiting from Orlando, Florida.

Centeno’s friends had been jumping into the water much of Friday afternoon. Detectives were told that Centeno tried for the first time at 3:45 p.m. He was reported to have surfaced briefly and was seen struggling to swim. His friends were unable to reach him before he went under. An Office of Emergency Management team recovered Centeno’s body at 7:35 p.m. in about 15 feet of water.
