Nashville woman drowns in Percy Priest Lake at Cook Recreation Area

Metro Nashville police said a 34-year-old woman died Sunday night in Percy Priest Lake.

Police identified her as Nashville resident Tina L. Broyhill and said she drowned at Cook Recreation Area.

According to police, Broyhill had been at the lake most of the afternoon and evening with a friend. She went under shortly after 8 p.m. and did not resurface. 

Her body was recovered at 9:25 p.m. 

Officers were told that Broyhill was not a good swimmer.
