“Firefighters have taken part in MDA’s Fill the Boot tradition for 65 years and we are grateful for the dedication and support of the members of the Chattanooga Fire Department and Chattanooga Fire Fighters Association Local 820 for their partnership and going above and beyond the call of duty to support the MDA community, “said Regional Manager of Firefighter Partnerships, Holly Carroll.

Funds raised through 2019 Fill the Boot events empower families with life-enhancing resources and support that open new possibilities and maximize independence so they can experience the world without any limits, said officials. Contributions have helped fund groundbreaking research and life-enhancing programs such as state-of-the-art support groups and Care Centers, including the MDA Care Center at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. They also help send local kids to “the best week of the year” at MDA summer camp at Camp Widjiwagan, located in South Nashville on Percy Priest Lake – all at no cost to their families.

No streets and/or intersections will be closed during the event.
