(PERCY PRIEST LAKE) Several hours after the early Friday (4/24/2020) morning incident on Percy Priest Lake, another one ended tragically around 4:50 that afternoon. Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency reports that a couple were leaving the no-wake zone at Four Corners Marina when their jet ski flipped.

A friend on another personal water device was able to rescue the woman, but efforts to find the male were not successful.

TWRA was called and they did not find the man's body until after the sun had set. He was believed to have been in his 20s, and was located in the vicinity in which he was last seen. The deceased was reportedly not wearing a personal flotation device, but one was found nearby.

This is the eighth boating fatality in Tennessee this year.
